What to expect during the procedure?
Prior to treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin.
Due to the non-ablative nature of the laser, however, most patients experience minimal discomfort.
The ResurFX™M laser handpiece is run over the treatment area, while the temperature-monitoring CoolScan system protects the skin.
Treatments take, on average, 15-30 minutes.
During the session, patients feel a slight tingling or burning sensation, in general, the procedure is comfortable.
What can I expect after procedure?
After treatment, your skin will have mild transient erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) that can last up to 3-4 days.
Discomfort is generally mild, similar to sunburn and easily relieved with immediate post cooling and application of a soothing gel/cream.
Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after ResurFX™M treatments.

How prepare to the treatment?
Come in with a clean face, no make-up or moisturizer.
Stop using Glycolics and Retin A’s 2 to 3 days before treatment.
No tanning , tan must be 4 to 6 weeks old before having a treatment.
No tanning creams 14 days prior to treatment.
Protect exposed areas with and SPF of 30 or higher before and during your
treatment.
Test patch skin type IV and wait 24 hours before treating.
Begin antiviral medication on patients having a known history of HSV.
