We Do Esthetics is proud to offer Calgary’s Best IPL Hair Removal treatment using the unique M22 Lumenis Laser. Our unique IPL (Intense Pulse Light) technology targets the hair follicles, and impairs their ability to grow hair. IPL hair removal is suitable for most types of hair.

The Treatment.

Using the hand peace with the pulses of light, you may feel a slight stinging or warm sensation. This sensation is usually very tolerable. Afterward, your skin may look slightly red and have small bumps where the follicles are, which is completely normal reaction. The redness and bumps will fade over the next few hours.

After Treatment.

Avoid hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, scrubs, wrapping or any sweat on the treated area for 3-4 days’ post-treatment, or until the redness and bumps have completely disappeared. The hair that was beneath the surface of the skin no longer has a follicle and your body will slowly eject it approximately 2-3 weeks after the treatment. It may look like growing hair, but simply exfoliate or continue shaving until the dead hair has all fallen out.

When will I see the results?

Significant hair reduction is already visible after the first session. The M22 Lumenis IPL Hair Removal treatment is generally administered in a series of 4-8 sessions that yield excellent long term results.

Who can benefit for IPL Hair Removal?

IPL Hair Removal is effective on black, brown, red and brown blond hair. Light blonde and grey hair unfortunately not be treated with any laser, as there is not enough pigment in the follicles to adequately absorb the laser’s energy.
